Ashton Blaise Whitty was born on the 1st of October, 1995. She was born in Berkeley, California, USA. Her work includes actress for Choices (2010). The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2007) as well as Chrissie Mayr's Content House 2022.

The role she played as Arianna in the film Perdiamoci by Carlo Verdone di vista, which focuses on a physically disabled girl, was an arduous and intricate role, which won her the David di Donatello award for best actress. Her film debut was a part in Queen Margot, directed by Patrice Cereau. In 1995 she teamed up alongside Michel Piccoli to produce Peter Del Monte Compagna di viaggio and won the David di Donatello. Asia began directing in 1994. She released two shorts and an episode from the movie De Generazione. In 1996 she made a documentary about her father and AbelAsia, a film on the cult director Abel Ferrara. In 1998, Asia directed AbelAsia, which was awarded by the Rome Film Festival. The year 1999 was the year Asia began her film-directing career in the form of Scarlet Diva with Scarlet Diva, in which she was the leading actress as well as the writer of the screenplay. In May 2000, the film was released throughout the world. The film was awarded the Brooklyn's special prize at the Williamsburg festival of film.
